Property Ownership Type

Type of ownership arrangement for private owners

Several people have raised the question of whether their parcela is actually freehold or leasehold, as the properties on Villas Caravaning seem to combine elements of both types.
Mr. Laurence Ponting kindly asked his legal advisor to clear up this doubt.
According to his solicitor, we own freehold plots of rustic land specifically for the purpose of siting a caravan, tent or other approved structure, covered by a licence from the council via the campsite, with all owners being subject to the obligatory shared utilities and community fees.
As Mr. Ponting has been a long time client of the legal firm, we were fortunately not charged for the advice on this occasion.
The firm also gave general advice on other related matters now covered in our web site question and answers pages.
They are also offering continued advice should we require it.
The legal consultant is Juan Carlos, who runs the Independent Consultants law firm, with offices on Cavanna square in La Manga and Bellaluz square on the La Manga Club.
