Eighth exchange of questions and answers

Details of the exchange

These questions were asked at a meeting with the site administrator at 10:00am. on 10/05/2023.
The conversation was transcribed to the best of our abilities; questions are in plain text and answers are in italics.

The questions and answers

  1. Can each owner, on any sector, obtain the report(s) which the engineer wrote for their parcela(s)?

    Yes, you can.

NOTE: Instructions at bottom of page.

  2. At the meeting, David mentioned fitting electric meters. Is there any update on that subject?

Meters will help bring the electric cost down, it will lessen the amount of money owed by debtors and it will also mean that the quarterly fees will be much smaller.

  3. When will the minutes be published?

It takes about a month from when the meeting was held, like other years.

  4. Any idea when the extra-ordinary meeting for the upgrade to the electrics will take place?

We're hoping for the end of the year.
First, we have to wait for a reply from the council, as they have to authorise the works.
Another reason why I'd like to host another meeting sooner rather than later, is so that we can try to pass a new budget again, and hopefully reduce the debt the site has.
The budget we proposed at the last meeting was unfortunately voted against by both owners associations, meaning we're stuck with the same budget as the year before, despite dragging along a tremendous debt as the electric bills were far higher last year than usual.
Because of this, private owners will start to notice the austerity measures as I have to prioritise the most necessary and urgent bills over others - our suppliers and external tradespeople need to get paid, one way or another.
If, for example, one of the toilet blocks gets vandalised and wrecked, all I can do is lock the door and wait until more money is available to fix it.
Capfun has made notable investments in general infrastructure that benefits both their clients and the private owners (the upgrades to the children's playground, for example) but they are simply not going to pay the private owners' bills.
