Fourth exchange of questions and answers

Details of the exchange

These questions were asked at a meeting with the site administrator at 10:30am. on 27/09/2022.
The conversation was transcribed to the best of our abilities; questions are in plain text and answers are in red text.

The questions and answers

  1. How was this month's meeting with the council, where you handed them the reports for all the parcelas?
We have not shown the council these documents yet, because we have to provide them with a complete report of not only all the parcelas, but all the facilities on our campsite: the toilet blocks, the parking areas, the wiring for the street lights, the plumbing, etc., etc.
The final report for the entire site will be hundreds and hundreds of pages, and it's taking a long time to write.

  2. Are the rules still scheduled to be published in October?
At the current rate the rules are more likely to come out in November, even though we are working as fast as we can in order to comply with the council's wish to see changes implemented sooner rather than later.
Right now, however, the council seems pleased with the pace of things and they are not telling us to move any faster, which is a relief.

  3. When you write up the definite rules in November, will the council give you their approval?
Our rules are based on standard rules that any campsite must presently follow.
The council may even write up their own rules if they prefer to do so, but that will be decided later on.
We are trying to ask them, exactly, what they do and don't want to see on privately owned parcelas.
People must wait until the rules are published before taking corrective action on their homes - I don't want to be responsible for anyone altering their property when it turns out there was no need to do so.
Second storeys and roof terraces are an exception, however; they have to be taken down as soon as possible.

  4. Some people already wish to remove their roof terraces.
    May they do so?
    Yes.
The council is especially critical of the second storeys and roof terraces, and it would make a big difference to them if they were gone.
As soon as one of these structures is removed, please send the engineer and myself an email with the plot's details and a photo showing it's been removed, so we can update our report.
Building waste has to be sorted by type (brick, steel, aluminium, etc.) before it can be disposed of properly, but if several owners have a roof terrace, for example, made of the same material, then if they co-ordinate I can try to ask the head of our maintenace team to see if he can order a container or skip for these people to share.

NOTE: I am quite happy for people to use our WhatsApp group to try and organise with others so they can get a skip, together.
If anyone has removed their terrace or second storey and needs help with the picture and email, they may also ask for assistance on the group chat.
