Third exchange of questions and answers

Details of the exchange

These questions were asked at a meeting with the site administrator on 23/08/2022 at 11:00am.
The purpose of the meeting was to address the following bullet points:

  1. Membership update on our group.
  2. Guarantee regarding future corrective building works and the council's licence.
  3. Contacting the owners association.
  4. Electrical works AGM and the works specification.

The conversation was transcribed to the best of our abilities.

The questions and answers

  1. We were pleased to inform Ana that the membership of our contact group is now just shy of 80 plot owners.
    Of these owners, a vast majority are willing to undertake the works necessary to make their properties comply with the site's legal requirements but also had concerns as to whether the site will stay open (see answer no. 2).
     
    She said that she had a 2 hour meeting with the council yesterday and assured them that, our group in particular, are keen to act in line with what is required.
    She said that it was a very positive meeting on many points.
     
  2. In asking for any guarantee that the campsite would not be closed down, we didn't expect a direct answer.
    What Ana said was that the more positive our response was the happier the council would be.
    At present virtually all the tourist plots have passed and many on A block could pass with small to medium corrections being made.
     
  3. A member of our group passed on a contact for the owners association and we told Ana we would make contact to see if there was anything we could do to help our situation with the council.
    There are 3 report conclusions: compliant, non-compliant and demolish.
    The third may adversely affect many homes of association members, so it's understandable that they'd attempt a different approach.
     
  4. The electrical works special AGM is not scheduled yet but looks likely to be in October/November.
    A full schedule of works will be available prior to the meeting with copies available to the individual owners.
     
    In conclusion, the meeting, Ana's response and her willingness to help and advise us was 100%.
    She was transparent on all matters and we felt she answered all our enquiries in even greater detail than we expected.
